Food Meun and Delivery App

Google Spreadsheet.

Google Spreadsheet is a free web based application that allows its users the ability to add and delete data in rows, colums, and cells. This makes Google Spreadsheet easy to use as a database that can be manipulated on the fly. Together with an android application a google spreadsheet can become a powerful tool.

Writing data into a Google spreadsheet.

Working with a Google spreadsheet is pretty straight foward. The goal of using a spreadsheet is to insert organized data into it. Thats exactly what I needed to make a food menu. The menu data will be pushed into an android application to pick items and caculate the items. This data will be pushed into another spreadsheet. In the spread sheet below I have a list that makes up food title, food description, food image, food item price. This spreadsheet will only be used to insert new food items or delete old items.

Data inserted into app.

This is what the data looks like once it is pulled into the android application. You can pick and delete any items you want and the items will be caculated and once the user is ready to order. The useer will need to add more information to complete their order. The infomation that will be needed to complete the order is name, phone number, address, city, state, and zip code.

Once all the data is collected it is pushed into a new google spreadsheet where the order can be reviewed. This google spreadsheet can be the main dashboard for your business.

Zapier for Email Notifications.

An option that can be used to notify you when someone puts in an order is Zaper. Instead of watching the spreedsheat on a computer screen Zapier monitors your spread sheet and sends you an email when a new row/order is added to the spreadsheet.

The delivery app.

The data from the dashboard spreadsheet is pulled and made into another android application for the delivery driver. The delivery driver will have all the order information and the location of the customers. The app will always find the drivers location and give precise directions. The home button is programmed to always take the driver back to homebase at a push of a button.

OneSignal push notifications.

Instead of you waiting for your users to open up your app to see if you have added new menu items you can send them push notifications letting them know immediately what you added. You can also automate your push notifications and sync them to match your future menu changes throughout the week! That way you're not sending push notifications out everyday manually.
